Background
Valory is a former national and international competitor who proudly represented Team USA in Milan, Italy and Vienna, Austria. She is a double Gold Medalist in both the United States and Canada. Her experience competing at the highest levels of the sport provides a deep understanding of the technical, physical, and mental demands required to succeed in figure skating.
Coaching Experience
With more than 30 years of coaching experience, Valory has trained under and collaborated with some of the most respected coaches in the sport. She has guided athletes from their first steps on the ice to national and international competition, with students who have gone on to compete — and win — at elite levels.
Coaching Philosophy
Valory's coaching focuses on building strong technical foundations through repetition and precision. By creating positive muscle memory through progressive drills, she breaks down each element of a jump — from takeoff and explosive power to efficient air position and controlled landings. This structured approach helps skaters develop consistency, confidence, and high-level performance on the ice.
Why Jump Lab Exists
Jump Lab is designed for skaters at every stage — from beginners to elite athletes — to develop proper technique, alignment, and body awareness. The program focuses on building explosive power and efficient rotation, translating to stronger on-ice performance while developing balanced, confident athletes with an emphasis on injury prevention.
